| Information about our international programme |
As an International Non-Governmental Organisation based in the UK, we form long-term relationships with the Partners we fund. We work closely with them to strengthen their capacity to deliver highly effective quality services to the most disadvantaged and marginalised children, their families and communities. The ICT places great emphasis on individual child development and gives its support to programmes where the following elements are present: Family therapy Child psychology Educational rehabilitation Community mobilisation and self-help, and/or Rights awareness and advocacy. The ICT’s main objective is to achieve sustainable change in the lives of children and their families. We focus on methods of work that are integrated and systemised to achieve the following goals: To enable children who live in poverty to gain full access to their human rights and realise their social, political and economic potential as participants in their societies To enable our Partners to strengthen their roles as centres of good practice, encouraging them to make an effective contribution to the development of their societies.
